An Overview of Externships at Advanced eClinical Training

At Advanced eClinical Training, our commitment is to empower our students by offering high-quality programs. These programs enhance the skills and knowledge necessary for their professional and academic aspirations.

Our online medical certification courses provide a comprehensive curriculum with modern, industry-based standards to prepare students for the workforce or to attain the needed vocational training to advance their careers. Through our externship placements, students can apply their acquired knowledge and skills in a real-world setting, guided by experienced professionals during an immersive training experience.

We encourage students to seek an externship placement if: 

• They are ready to take responsibility to read, follow, and complete comprehensive instructions and tasks before, during, and after an externship. 

• They best represent our school and our programs. We will not place students in an externship who do not demonstrate a basic level of maturity or responsive work ethic. We will not jeopardize our reputation, our business partners, or the safety of patients with students not fit to perform the duties expected during an externship.

• They believe an externship will provide the best hands-on experience to advance their health & medical career goals.

• The facility they would like to complete an externship with is an employer they would like to work for. 

Establishing New Affiliation Agreements With Sites

If you would like to complete an externship at a specific facility outside of what your program has already established, we encourage students to begin contacting that facility before they complete their in-class program. 

• This will allow us to potentially process an externship placement when students complete their coursework.

• This requires the school and site to agree to an Affiliation Agreement contract.

• Processing a NEW Affiliation Agreement takes 2-8 weeks depending on:

• When the request is drafted between the clinic and the site, it can take up to 6 weeks to finalize and approve.

However, many local health and medical facilities in our area have already established an Affiliation Agreement with ACT and can place externs as soon as available.

• We do our best to keep track of all externship placement opportunities available at any given time but depending on each facility's employment needs, changes in staffing, or shifting.

• For these reasons, we do not provide a list of facilities we partner with. However, we provide information for currently available externships our partners are seeking.

Establishing OWN Externship Placement 

If you are a student who already has arranged for potential placement with a facility OR is seeking to establish your OWN externship placement, fill out the form below:

1. 1. The full name of the facility

   2. The full name of the facility contact person

   3. The facility contact person's Title. 

   4. The facility contact person's workplace phone number and workplace email address.

   5. The facility's email address and the physical address of the location you wish to be placed.

Once submitted, this will enable our externship coordinators to set up the necessary affiliation agreements, ensuring your participation in the externship program.
