The Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) program, offered by approved training provider Advanced eClinical Training (ACT), provides qualified Active Army, National Guard and Reserve soldiers with up to $4,000 in funding to pursue professional credentialing and certification opportunities.
What is the Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) Program?
Take advantage of a great opportunity to gain credentials that can enhance your skills and qualifications, at no cost to you, both during and after military service! The Army Credentialing Assistance (CA) Program pays up to $4,000 for courses and exams that lead to industry-recognized civilian credentials. You may use this program to enhance your skills, either in your current Military Occupational Specialty (MOS), or in an occupation, you would like to pursue when you leave military service. Advanced eClinical Training (ACT) provides Army CA-approved online medical certification training programs.You can request CA funding for any credential listed on Army COOL.
Army Credentialing Opportunities Online (Army COOL)
Army Credentialing Opportunities On-Line (COOL) is a website that provides information to Soldiers of all ranks about credentials related to their jobs, including certications, licenses, and apprenticeships. All credentials that are eligible for CA funding must be listed on Army COOL.

Who Qualifies for ArmyCA?
- Regular Army
- Army National Guard
- United States Army Reserve
Eligibility and Rules
- Eligible Soldiers may use both TA and CA up to the fiscal year limit of $4000
- CA may pay for training, books, mandatory fees, materials, exams, and recertification.
- CA does NOT have to align with a Soldier’s MOS
- Soldiers cannot be contracted ROTC scholarship cadet (receiving tuition and fees or room and board) or Green to Gold ROTC program cadet.
- Soldiers must have enough time remaining in service to complete the credential before separating from the Army.
- Soldiers will not be reimbursed for anything paid upfront.
