Assessment Components
- Discussion Posts: Students contribute to online discussions and reply substantively to peer posts. Instructors monitor participation and provide feedback if standards are not met.
- Written Assignments: Students complete written assignments as assigned within modules. Instructors provide individualized feedback. Assignments not meeting standards may be required to be redone.
- Quizzes: Students are expected to achieve at least 80% on all NHA course study material quizzes. Multiple attempts are permitted until the 80% threshold is met.
- Simulation Activities: Students complete all simulation activities in their entirety and complete associated interactive quizzes and self-assessments.
- Practice Exams: Students must complete three (3) practice exams and achieve an average score of at least 80% across all three. If the average is below 80%, a remediation plan is created.
Monitoring and Support
Instructors monitor student engagement and progress regularly. Students who are not meeting engagement expectations or showing adequate progress are notified promptly so that support and intervention can be provided.
